Our partner VTT attended the conference through the presentation of a scientific poster by Senior Scientist Pankaj Saha titled ‘Enhancing ML-Based Battery SoC Estimation Beyond Laboratory Data Using Physics-Based Models.’
The work highlighted how physics-based battery models generated synthetic datasets to improve machine learning-based State-of-Charge (SoC) estimation beyond traditional laboratory conditions.
The poster also presented results showing accurate SoC estimation with an error below ±2% when combining laboratory and synthetic data, supporting the development of more reliable and scalable battery management systems for future electric mobility applications.
AABC Europe provided an important platform for scientists, engineers, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge and discuss the future of battery innovation.
