Oxford Battery Modelling Symposium

Philipp Brendel from Fraunhofer IISB attended last July 24 and 25 the Oxford Battery Modelling Symposium (OBMS), a key event for the battery research community. The symposium brought together experts from academia and industry—including mathematicians, chemists, physicists, and engineers—to explore the latest advancements in battery modelling and its applications. The program featured outstanding speakers covering a wide range of topics, from atomistic and continuum modelling to control strategies and beyond. These broad and inspiring presentations encouraged lively and open discussions. At the 2025 in-person meeting, held at the historic Examination Schools in Oxford, Philipp contributed by presenting a poster showcasing his recent work in FASTEST.
