On November 27, FASTES parters INEGI, COMAU, and FEV held a joint technical working session that enabled the consortium to successfully achieve Milestone 7, ‘Integration between the Digital Twin Platform and the Virtual & Physical Validation Platform.’ During this session, the teams completed the first end-to-end integration of both platforms, validating interoperability, configuration alignment, and cloud-to-cloud connectivity.
The partners carried out a set of integration tests covering several steps of the workflow. The session confirmed the Digital Twin’s ability to correctly collect triggered tests from the Work Package 6 (WP6) Platform, as well as the successful retrieval of data and transfer of models back to the platform.
The positive outcomes of these tests demonstrate robust bidirectional communication and a high level of functional alignment between the two systems. This achievement provides a solid technical foundation for the next phases of the project, which will involve more advanced integration activities.
In the upcoming stages, the teams will focus on executing complete test scenarios to validate the full workflow under conditions that closely mirror real operational use. This will include running real virtual tests within the Co-Simulation Platform, using the models and configurations uploaded from the Digital Twin Platform.
These activities will validate the complete end-to-end validation pipeline, further reinforcing the readiness of the integrated platforms for full-scale testing.
